I have found a very interesting concept called the Hedonic Treadmill.
It’s a concept that essentially states, to my understanding, that despite what ever positive or negative experiences we have that we will eventually even out and hit a neutral zone of happiness. Just as out body chemistry tries to maintain homeostasis, so do our emotions and behavior.
With that in mind, remember that somethings will be awesome, some will suck, but eventually you’ll be back to “Eh.”
